What Coach Capy does: your child can talk to or type questions for an AI capybara on the TV,
see explanations, safe pictures (if you allow them, including pictures Capy draws of your child's ideas with AI) and puzzles, and play tic-tac-toe and chess.
Where data goes: Coach Capy is a hosted service at coachcapy.greyflakes.com that uses Google's
Gemini API. When voice is on, your child's voice goes from the TV straight to Google (model gemini-3.8-live),
only while the Talk button is active. Typed questions and chess positions go through the Coach Capy service to
Google (gemini-3.8-flash). Google processes this data under its own terms; please review Google's Gemini API
terms and privacy policy, including how they apply to children's data where you live.
What we keep: your email (to sign you in), the TVs you connect, and a daily request count for
your family. We don't store your child's questions, Capy's answers, recordings or transcripts. The TV keeps
its settings, your PIN (hashed), its access key (encrypted) and a daily minutes counter.
Capy's memory (if you allow it): short notes about your child's interests and learning, such
as "loves sharks" or "practising times tables", kept on the Coach Capy service for your family (at most 30;
Capy is told never to save names, places or contact details, and notes are checked for them, though checks can
miss things) so Capy can personalise chats and fun facts. You can see and delete
them on this page or in the Parent zone; turning memory off erases them.
Limits: AI answers can be wrong or unsuitable despite filters. Please supervise younger
children. Coach Capy has not been certified under any children's-privacy law (such as COPPA, GDPR-K or India's
DPDP Act); you decide whether it is right for your family.
You can change these choices later in the TV's Parent zone (PIN protected), and remove a TV from this page.
